Romantic Card Games
Whether you have been together two weeks or 20 years, sometimes couples need something to help add a little romance into their relationship. For an easy and inexpensive way to spice up your romance, start with something that almost everyone has in their home: a deck of cards.
You can play romantic card games with any deck of cards, and they can add laughter and love to any relationship.
Sexy Eights is played like Crazy Eights with a regular deck of cards. Before the game, both members of the couple write down a secret fantasy or thing that they would like to do or have done to them if they win. Each person gets seven cards, and you place the rest of the cards in a pile and turn over the top card next to the pile.
Eights are wild and can become any suit or number. If a seven of hearts is face up, you can play any seven or any heart (or an eight). You and your partner continue playing until someone runs out of cards. If you cannot play a card, you must draw a card from the pile and your partner then plays.
Romantic poker resemble regular poker, but with different stakes. Before the game, you and your partner each write out 10 things that you would like to do to each other, have done to each other or not have to do (such as chores or household responsibilities).
Cut the poker “stakes” into equal pieces, then give each partner 10 of them facedown. Use the favors as poker chips for your game; the winner can cash them in at a future date.
Play this romantic card game just like Slap Jack, where you deal 26 cards to each person. After you deal the cards, one person turns over a card on the top of his deck and lays it down. The first person to slap a designated area in front of you when an overturned card is a face card (ace, king, queen or jack) gets a kiss from her partner.
The winner of each “Slap Jack” gets to determine where he is kissed.
