How to Converse With a Girl Online
In this digital age, it is easier than ever to find a relationship. Thanks to the Internet and other modern modes of communication, anything is possible.
Of course, the easiest way to communicate online is through a chat room or instant messaging. But there is a protocol to conversing with girls online. It isn’t a simple click-and-go proposition.
Things You’ll Need
- Internet connection
- Web browser
- Instant messaging client
Chat with a Girl Online
1. Find a chat room.
There are literally thousands of chat rooms scattered across the Internet. Try conducting a Web search based on a particular subject of interest. Some chat rooms are obviously more reputable than others, so be picky about where you hold your conversation.
Conversely, if you have and IM (instant message) client and you already know who you want to talk to, you can bypass all the potential dangers of an online chat room.
2. Find a girl to chat with.
Again, if you are instant messaging with someone you already know, you will have this step taken care of. Otherwise, finding a girl to chat with can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be.
If you are looking to chat with just any girl, you shouldn’t have a hard time finding someone in a public chat room. However, if you are picky or have selected a really out-of-the-way chat room somewhere, you may find it difficult to find a satisfactory conversation partner.
3. Introduce yourself.
Once you’ve found a girl you would like to talk with, click the button to Direct Message with her. Tell her who you are (but pick a pseudonym; privacy is everything online). Then ask her about herself.
4. Keep the conversation on the up and up.
If a girl isn’t interested in talking to you, don’t badger her. Simply move on to someone else. Also, don’t be pushy. Girls can be skittish online and you don’t want to scare her off.
5. Ask lots of questions, but don’t get too personal.
You don’t want to give out personal information (at least not at first) and neither does the girl you are talking to.
Feel free to chat about family, school, work or anything else that’s casual, but don’t be offended if she doesn’t want to give you actual names and addresses. Similarly, don’t give out any of that information about yourself.
6. Ask for a second “date.”
If you find the girl interesting and she seems to be having a good time chatting with you, feel free to ask her when you can talk with her again.
Things are pretty flexible on the Internet, so she may only give you rough outline of when she tends to be online.
Tips & Warnings
- Pick a nickname that shows something that you are interested in. For example, if you are into old cars, pick the name of your favorite year and model.
- Never give out personal information online until you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you can trust someone.
